Ellah’s fight

Hi! I know times are tough for everyone right now, but there is a precious little family who needs our help.

This little bundle of joy is Ellah. To say that Ellah had a rough start in life is an understatement. She was born at 24 weeks, weighing only 1 pound! Many times in her early life, her parents, Chris and Emily were given little hope. Yet their faith and belief in little Ellahs's will to live was unwavering. After 254 days in the hospital, they took Ellah home and began they process of adjusting to Ellah's immediate needs, paying off the mountain of debts incurred during those 9 long months she spent in the hospital and beginning life as a normal young family. Just to see them at church or around town was joyful! Ellah was a happy, giggling baby and they were going proud parents.

Last week this family received another blow. While visiting the doctor for what they thought was a typical stomach bug .... Chris and Emily got the devastating news that Ellah had a tumor in her liver, a rare and aggressive form of cancer known as Hepatoblastoma. Ellah was immediately admitted to the hospital, and they have now started the long process of making her healthy once again.

Ellah started Chemo this week and will begin preparations for a liver transplant.
